ADRC

Length of loan

The length of loan for students who have contacted the ADRC directly will be decided by your Adviser, having determined your needs.

Staff can borrow items for a maximum of 10 working days, during which time you should arrange with your line manager to have a similar item purchased for yourself.

Returns

Please return the item(s) to the ADRC by the date specified on the agreement. On occasion you may be advised to return the item to the University Information Service. Items are popular and it's very likely that someone will be waiting to borrow it after you.

Extensions

Extensions are available to students only and can be arranged by contacting a ADRC Adviser.

Waiting list

If an item is unavailable to borrow, your name will be added to the waiting list. You will be notified by email once the item is available to collect from the ADRC.

Faulty equipment

Please notify the ADRC immediately if your item is faulty and return it to the ADRC for repair. The ADRC may then be able to issue you with a replacement or suggest an alternative device.

Liability

The ADRC holds the borrower liable for the safe return of any item(s) (including packaging) borrowed from the Loan Pool, by the due date. If an item is lost or damaged beyond repair, you may be asked to cover the cost of a replacement. We recommend that you add any item(s) borrowed to the list of contents covered by your household insurance.
