Access statement
The Students’ Unions’ Advice Service, CUSU and the GU are all based at the Students’ Unions’ Building (17 Mill Lane), via the white door underneath the arch on Silver Street. The CUSU/GU Lounge, GU Office, CUSU/GU Reception, Meeting Room 1 and the Students’ Unions’ Advice Service are all on level 1, up the stairs when you go in. The CUSU Office is downstairs on level -1. It is fully wheelchair accessible, but the door is card activated in the evenings and weekends so please let us know you are coming in advance so that we can authorise your university card. We can also meet you there and show you to the correct room inside, if you prefer. Inside there is padded seating, an accessible toilet, and gender neutral toilets. There is lift access to all floors. Please let us know if you have any additional requirements such as use of the induction loop or materials in large print as this will allow us to ensure that these are in place for your visit. There is general car parking outside, and blue badge parking by request in advance. The nearest bike racks are outside the Careers Service building. All students, their partners and families are welcome, including undergraduates, graduates, intermitting students, non-returned students and post-docs. Feel free to bring children, breastfeeding is welcome.
