ADRC Online Welcome Event 2026

We are excited to share more information and open bookings for the online Welcome Event, now taking place in late September 2026. 

This event is the perfect opportunity for 2026 incoming students to discover the wide range of support and services available to students through the colleges, departments, and student services. 

From guidance on navigating College and University life to hearing about how we support students with accessibility and disability related requirements, this series of online sessions is designed to help you feel informed, supported, and excited for the year ahead. There will be the opportunity to ask questions during the event.

When and where is the Welcome Event?

  • The Welcome Event will be a series of online sessions starting at 1pm on Monday 28 September and ending on Wednesday 30 September. Each session will last between 20 minutes to an hour. 
  • These will be on Microsoft Teams; you do not need a Microsoft Teams account to join, and you can remain completely anonymous. You do not have to attend all sessions, just the ones that seem relevant to you. There are more details about the exact timings for each session on the booking form linked below.  

What is included in the Welcome Event?

We will have four sessions with staff and students: 

  • An introduction to the ADRC, during which you will learn more about the ADRC, the Cambridge system, and how to access support.  
     
  • A session led by the Libraries Accessibility Service, during which you will learn more about the library system at Cambridge, as well as accessible and support facilities Cambridge libraries are able to provide. 
     
  • An assistive technology session with our Assistive Technology Manager, exploring what is available at University.
     
  • A session led by our Senior Disability Support Co-ordinator, about the non-medical help available at Cambridge.
