In support of the revised Code of Practice: Access and Inclusion for Disabled Students, Education Services (via the ADRC and CCTL) have launched a new interactive Moodle course, ‘Inclusive Teaching and Learning: Disabled Students’. The course is designed to help to develop an understanding of best practice in the design and delivery of inclusive teaching and learning, and has a specific focus on how the practical application of such an inclusive approach can remove the disadvantage many disabled students can face in accessing their teaching and learning. It also explains how an inclusive approach can help to remove the need for multiple and costly reactive adjustments.
The course is designed for all staff with teaching responsibilities across the collegiate University and can be accessed via Moodle. Long link https://www.vle.cam.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=157882
To enrol simply follow the link and click the Enrol button. If you have any issues accessing the course, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the TEL Service or ADRC.
The course will take about an hour. It incorporates knowledge checks, staff and student videos and also has useful links to other useful resources. We hope that you find this useful and encourage you to share as widely as possible to support greater inclusive practice across the University.
