Appointments with an Assistant Disability Adviser

Our Assistant Disability Advisers (ADAs) offer short appointments to answer your disability-related queries.

These short appointments:

  • last no longer than 15 minutes
  • are not a replacement for an appointment with your Disability Adviser

Come to a drop-in session

In term time, come to the Accessibility and Disability Resource Centre on the ground floor of the Student Services Centre and a member of our team will meet you. We’re available:

  • Tuesday 11 am to 12 pm
  • Thursday 2 pm to 3 pm

If you’re not available during the drop-in session time or you’d prefer to have an online appointment, you can:

What we can help you with

We can cover queries about:

  • small adjustments to your Student Support Document
  • human support, also known as non-medical help
  • academic-related funding, for example Disabled Student’s Allowance, Reasonable Adjustments Fund, International Disabled Students' Fund
  • your existing Examination Access Arrangements
  • what medical or diagnostic evidence you need to provide
  • other University support services that might be useful

If your enquiry is more complex, we’ll pass it to a Disability Adviser. If needed, we can help you make an appointment with them.
