This service is designed to allow disabled students and staff (or those supporting them) to create accessible alternative formats of inaccessible digital documents. It is a free self-service facility. Guidance is available from the 'Useful Links' on the right hand side of this page. Free e-training on how to use this service is available from https://www.sensusaccess.com/sensusaccess-e-learning.

Use the following web-form to convert PDFs, JPEGs and other files into an e-book, text file, audio or braille.

Conditions of use of this service

By using the service you are agreeing that:

• the copy you create will not be shared with others

• you abide by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act, 1988, Section 31A (Disabled persons: copies of works for personal use)

• you abide by the Data Protection Act  and GDPR regulations, where applicable

If you are not a disabled person, you are permitted to make an accessible copy of a document if you own the copyright (i.e. it is your work); if you have permisson from the copyright holder; if the copyright for the document has expired; or the converted document is intended for use by a disabled person.
